One of my latest art passions is Neurographic Art. Neurographic art offers a unique blend of creativity, mindfulness, and self-exploration. It is an intriguing practice for those interested in the intersection of art and personal growth.
Neurographic art is a unique and relatively new form of meditative and therapeutic art practice. This form of art offers stress reduction and relaxation, improved focus and concentration, aids in enhanced creativity and problem-solving skills, emotional processing and self-expression and personal growth and self-discovery.
Neurotrophic art was developed in 2014 by Russian psychologist and creativity coach Pavel Piskarev. This innovative approach combines elements of psychology, neuroscience, and art therapy to create a method that is both creative and potentially transformative. Pavel Piskarev, drawing from his background in psychology and his interest in the intersection of neuroscience and creativity, sought to create a method that could help people process emotions, solve problems, and promote personal growth through artistic expression. He based his approach on the idea that creating certain types of abstract drawings could help reorganize neural pathways in the brain, leading to new insights and reduced stress.
My art session creating my work includes the following:
1. Setting an intention
2. Drawing initial lines and shapes
3. Identifying and rounding intersections
4. Adding color
5. Reflecting on the process and final image
When creating this art I use a variety of mediums, ink, watercolors, colored pencils, acrylics...and I am still exploring more. I believe that everyone is creative. This art can help all who wish to express themselves and even heal themselves.
I have been using this method for a very short time and here are a few of my painting from this past week.

Wow, Mary! How cool is THIS?! ❤️
